I woke up today to find that my iPhone won't unlock. I've been trying the passcode I know is right, along with some variations, but nothing's working. I've been using this passcode for four years, so I really doubt I've forgotten it. Right now, it's telling me to wait 3 hours before I can try again, but everything I read online suggests the wait should only be an hour, which confuses me even more.
To make matters worse, I haven't backed up my phone since I got it, and now I feel stuck. I tried connecting it to my trusted PC, but it's not being recognized. Honestly, I'm feeling pretty helpless right now. Any advice on what I can do to fix this?

If the passcode isn't working, your best bet is to erase your phone using a computer. Just a heads up, it's a tough learning moment about the importance of keeping your backup up to date.
Could someone else have access to your phone and be pranking you by changing the passcode?
Have you checked if there's a "forgot passcode" option at the bottom of the screen? That could help you!
I looked for that, but I didn't see any option. From what I've read, it just starts a process to erase everything.
Honestly, I think you might just be entering the wrong password. I've seen it happen a lot, even with people who are super sure they're right. You might want to double-check just in case.

Unfortunately, that's not the case. It's been just me!
