I have an iPhone 12 mini running iOS 26.6. Audio had been unusually quiet even at full volume while watching YouTube, and now the built-in speaker produces no sound at all. I restarted the phone, checked Sounds & Haptics, and toggled Silent Mode, but nothing helped. Bluetooth headphones still work normally. What should I try next?

Try the standard Apple speaker troubleshooting steps, including checking for Silent Mode, Focus settings, volume limits, and anything blocking the speaker openings. If none of those help and headphones continue to work, arrange an inspection or repair for the phone's speaker.
Since Bluetooth headphones work but the phone speaker does not, the issue is probably with the built-in speaker rather than YouTube. Remove the case, inspect the speaker openings, and gently clean them with a dry, soft brush. Then move the Ringer and Alerts slider under Sounds & Haptics. If that slider also produces no sound, the speaker may need professional service.
The headphones are Bluetooth, and they play audio normally. I’ll check the speaker openings and the alert-volume test next.
