Is $200 a Steal for a 3070 Ti, or Should I Wait for a Newer GPU?

I'm considering buying a 3070 Ti from a friend who recently upgraded. He's offering it to me for $200, which seems like a fantastic deal to me since I'm currently using a 1660 Ti. My main question is whether I should jump on this offer, or if it's worth saving up for a newer model in the 40 or 50 series or maybe an AMD equivalent. What do you all think?

For sure, $200 is a great deal! Just for comparison, a 3060 Ti, which is just a bit weaker, still sells for around $280 or more. You’ll get way more value with the 3070 Ti.
PixelPioneer: Right? Prices have really fluctuated! 3070s used to be way more expensive.
