I recently took my computer apart to track down a strange smell. After cleaning out the dust and testing the system with the internal GPU, I reinstalled my dedicated GPU and disabled the integrated graphics in the BIOS. Now, I've noticed that Windows 11 shows around 60 MB (61.9 MB) of memory listed as hardware reserved. I didn't check this before, so I'm wondering if this is normal for Windows 11 with a dedicated GPU. By the way, the 'maximum memory' option in the advanced boot menu is unchecked.

Yep, that 60MB of hardware reserved RAM is pretty standard! It's normal for systems, even with a dedicated GPU, to have a little bit of RAM reserved for hardware tasks. No need to worry about it, really. Just glad you got everything cleaned up!

That makes sense! I had a similar experience after upgrading my GPU the other day and saw a small reserve too. Just part of how Windows manages memory.
