Is 660W Enough Power for a 9800X3D and 4070 Ti?

I'm currently using a 5800X3D with a 4070 Ti on a 660W PSU and I'm considering upgrading to the 9800X3D, possibly even the 9850X3D. Do you think my 660W PSU (Fractal Ion+) is sufficient for this upgrade, or am I asking too much from it?

It really depends on your usage. If you're just browsing or playing less demanding games, you're good to go. But if you're doing heavy gaming or tasks like rendering high-quality graphics, the PSU might struggle. Just keep an eye on those power demands, especially with something like 4K textures.

It's a Fractal Ion Platinum, which is a solid PSU. You should be fine.

I tend to play games that aren't too demanding, but I'm upgrading mainly because of Escape From Tarkov, which is a CPU hog and puts my GPU at about 70-80% usage.

As long as your PSU has the right connectors, it should be totally fine for your setup.
