Is a 200 cm Desk Wide Enough for Two Gaming Setups?

My fiancée and I currently have separate gaming setups, but we would like to play side by side instead. The only available space is about 200 cm wide. Would that be comfortable enough for two people over longer gaming sessions? I usually play with a controller, while she primarily uses a mouse and keyboard, although I also switch to mouse and keyboard for competitive games. We would probably need to fit two monitors, keyboards, mice, and two desktop PCs into the setup. Any advice from couples who have tried something similar would be appreciated.

A simple shared tabletop with separate legs could be a practical solution. Put both desktop towers on the floor or use another nearby surface, since placing them on the desk will consume a lot of valuable space. It should be workable if both of you are comfortable sitting fairly close together and the setup stays minimal.

My partner and I use a side-by-side setup that is around 240 cm wide, and it works well enough even with two desktops, speakers, and other equipment. It can feel crowded sometimes, but keeping only the essentials on the desks helps a lot. More space would definitely be more comfortable, though 200 cm is not automatically impossible.

Two hundred centimeters can work, but it will be fairly compact at roughly 100 cm per person. The desk surface may be sufficient, especially if you keep it uncluttered, but chair movement and legroom could become the bigger problems. Two desktop towers on the floor may also make the space underneath feel cramped.

Before buying anything, mark out a 200 cm by whatever desk depth you are considering and sit there with two chairs. Test reaching for the keyboard and mouse, shifting position, and getting in and out of the chairs. People often move their legs or swivel while gaming, so the chairs may interfere with each other even if the tabletop has enough room.
