I'm looking at a bundle with a Ryzen 9 5950X, an X570 motherboard, and 32GB of DDR4-3600 memory for around $300. I'd like to pair it with either a Radeon 9060 XT or GeForce RTX 5060 Ti for 1440p gaming. Is this a good value, or would I be better off with a different CPU or platform?

At $300 for the CPU, motherboard, and 32GB of RAM, it sounds like a reasonable bundle if everything works properly. The main catch is that the 5950X is designed more for heavily threaded workloads than gaming. A Ryzen 5 5600/X or Ryzen 7 5700X would usually deliver similar gaming performance for less, while a 5800X3D would be a stronger gaming-focused AM4 option if you can find one at a sensible price.
The value depends heavily on the condition of the parts and whether the bundle includes a decent cooler. At $300, it’s much easier to recommend than buying the components individually at inflated prices. Just don’t pay extra expecting the 5950X to provide a major gaming advantage over cheaper AM4 processors.
