Hey everyone! I'm new to building PCs and I've got all my parts ready to go. I was thinking of using an old power supply unit (PSU) from a previous build. Here are the specs of my current build: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D, AMD RX 7700XT graphics card, a 2TB SSD, 32GB DDR4 RAM, Thermalright PS120SE cooler, and a Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2 motherboard. I'm curious if my 500W PSU will be sufficient for this setup. Thanks for the help!

I think the MSI MAG A750GL would work fine for your setup!

TechieTinker12: Yes, that PSU should be sufficient!

If your PSU is a reputable brand and rated gold or above, you might be okay, but I would still suggest aiming for a 650-750W PSU. You really donโ€™t want to skimp on your power supply!

SavvyBuilder58: Efficiency ratings donโ€™t necessarily reflect build quality, though! Just make sure you pick a reliable brand.

MaverickStar99: Thanks for your help, Iโ€™ll get a new one ordered!

I'd suggest something around 600W to be safe, just to give you room for upgrades in the future.

I'd recommend looking for a PSU with at least 700W for that build. Itโ€™s better to have a little extra power to avoid any issues down the line!

MaverickStar99: Thank you for the advice!
