Buying a larger PSU can make sense if you find a good deal and plan substantial upgrades later, but a 1000W unit would be unnecessary for this build. A quality 650W or 750W supply is plenty for the 9060 XT and leaves reasonable room for future changes.
The wattage rating alone isn’t the whole story. Since this is an OEM-supplied unit, verify its exact model, age, available PCIe cables, and power limits before reusing it. If it’s a reputable modern Cooler Master unit and has the proper connectors, 600W is likely fine; otherwise, replacing it with a quality 650W or 750W model would be safer.
A good 600W PSU should be able to run that setup, especially with a Ryzen 5 5600X. The GPU and CPU combination is not particularly power-hungry, so you probably don’t need to jump straight to 750W. Just make sure the PSU has the required PCIe power connectors and is in good condition.
650W would be a comfortable choice with some extra headroom, while 750W is mainly useful for future upgrades. Check the estimated system draw with a parts calculator, then leave some margin for transient power spikes instead of relying only on the minimum GPU specification.
