I currently have a Ryzen 5 3600, an RTX 2060 Super, and a Corsair 550W 80+ Bronze power supply. I want to upgrade for 1440p gaming with a Corsair RM750x 80+ Gold PSU, a Ryzen 7 5700X3D, and an RX 9070 XT. Would 750W be enough for this combination, or should I spend more on an 850W unit for extra headroom and future upgrades?

I’d choose 850W if the price difference is small. A 750W model will work, but 850W gives you more breathing room for future, higher-power graphics cards and possible overclocking. It’s mainly a longevity and upgrade-flexibility choice, not a requirement for the current parts.
The estimated peak draw for a 5700X3D and 9070 XT is around 450W, or roughly 500W with a heavily overclocked premium graphics card. That leaves plenty of room on a quality 750W PSU, so there’s no technical need to go larger.
A good 750W ATX 3.x power supply should be enough for this setup, assuming you mean the RX 9070 XT. The RM750x is a quality unit and should handle the system comfortably at stock settings.
That makes sense. I’m not planning to overclock right away, but the extra headroom could be useful if I upgrade the graphics card again later.
