Is a 77°C Cinebench Temperature Good for a Ryzen 7 5800X3D?

I ran a 10-minute Cinebench multi-core test on my PC with a Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB, 32GB of DDR4 memory, and a DeepCool LM360 AIO cooler. The CPU reached a maximum of 77°C, and the score was roughly in line with typical results for this processor. Is that a good temperature? Since Cinebench puts the CPU under a sustained heavy load, can I assume gaming temperatures will stay below 77°C as well?

Yes, 77°C after a full sustained multi-core run is a very good result for this processor. Cinebench is usually more demanding than normal gaming, so most games should run cooler, especially if they do not fully load every CPU core.

Cinebench is a useful real-world estimate, but some stress tests can draw even more power and produce higher temperatures. If you want to check the absolute worst case, try a heavier CPU stress test or run a CPU and GPU test together. For everyday use, though, 77°C is nothing to worry about.

Gaming temperatures will probably stay below that, but it is not guaranteed. A game can heat the CPU and GPU at the same time, and the GPU may raise the temperature inside the case. Shader compilation or especially CPU-heavy games could also create brief spikes.
