Is a €200 PC with a Ryzen 5 2600 and RTX 2060 worth buying?

I found a used PC listed for €200 with a Ryzen 5 2600, RTX 2060, 16 GB of DDR4-3200 memory, and a 500 GB SSD. Is that a good price for the system? I'm also considering buying a Ryzen 5 3600 for about €45, which would bring the total cost to roughly €245. My main goal is playing CS2 at a minimum of 144 FPS.

€200 is a very good price for those parts, assuming the system works properly and the listing is legitimate. Test the PC in person if possible, check temperatures, confirm the RTX 2060 works under load, and make sure the SSD and power supply are in decent condition.

I’d be careful about calling it an instant buy without checking it first. A suspiciously cheap listing can have hidden problems or be a scam.

It’s a strong budget deal, but keep your expectations realistic. The RTX 2060 is still usable, though CS2 performance depends heavily on settings, map, and the rest of the system. 144 FPS may be achievable, but it probably won’t be locked at that level everywhere with the Ryzen 5 2600.

CS2 is really the only game I’m targeting, so I’m hoping it can stay around 144 FPS with competitive settings.

A Ryzen 5 3600 for €45 is a reasonable upgrade, but a Ryzen 5 5600 would be a more worthwhile jump if you can afford it. The 5600 pairs nicely with an RTX 2060 and should provide better minimum FPS in competitive games. Check your motherboard’s CPU support list and BIOS requirements before buying.

The motherboard doesn’t need to be a B550 board. A compatible B450 or similar AM4 board can run a Ryzen 5 3600 or 5600 after a BIOS update. The RTX 2060 will also work normally; using it in a PCIe 3.0 slot causes little practical performance loss.
