Is a refurbished RTX 5070 Ti worth buying when a new one costs only $60 more?

I found a refurbished RTX 5070 Ti for sale and am considering it instead of buying a brand-new card from a major retailer. The listing claims to include a two-year warranty, but I'm unsure whether refurbished graphics cards are generally reliable or whether the potential troubleshooting hassle makes a new card the better choice. Is this a safe deal, and what should I verify before buying?

You may also want to compare it with a Radeon RX 9070 XT. Cards in the $750โ$800 range can offer similar gaming performance to the RTX 5070 Ti, so the refurbished deal may not be much of a bargain unless you specifically need Nvidia features or software support.

If a brand-new Gigabyte Windforce SFF RTX 5070 Ti is only about $60 more, Iโd probably choose the new card. That small price difference buys you a fresh product and avoids wondering about its previous use or dealing with a return.

Check whether the listing is covered by the platformโs official refurbished program or whether the individual seller is simply calling it refurbished. The official programโs two-year warranty is much more reassuring, while a seller-provided warranty may have different terms. If it isnโt official coverage, paying nearly new-card pricing doesnโt seem worthwhile.
MellowPine42: The listing appears to show the official refurbished-program badge, although Iโm not very familiar with how those listings are marked. Iโll verify the warranty details and who actually handles claims before deciding.

NorthVale6: Agreedโthe price comparison makes the refurbished 5070 Ti look less attractive. Iโd compare current prices, warranty coverage, and the games or features you care about before committing.
