I'm looking to build a budget PC and considering pairing a Ryzen 5 5600 with a 3060 Ti, as they seem to be great value on the used market here. I'm mainly interested in gaming at 1080p, but I'm unsure if this combo will result in any bottlenecking. Would this be a solid choice for a budget setup?

Totally agree! If you're not going for something much stronger like a 5070 Ti or playing CPU-heavy games like City Skylines 2, the 5600 is sufficient. For most gaming scenarios, it should handle the 3060 Ti nicely.
This duo is generally well-balanced. There may be some CPU bottlenecks in demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077, especially in busy scenes, but it's usually not a big deal. Overall, it should run smoothly for most titles at 1080p, so if you find them for a reasonable price, go for it!
I think this combo works great! I made a similar build for my dad and it runs perfectly for 1080p gaming. You should have no issues with performance in most games with this setup. Just keep in mind some specific titles might push the CPU a bit.
