I'm considering buying a used RTX 3080 with 10GB of VRAM for $460. Is that a reasonable price in 2026, or are there better used or new graphics cards available around the same budget?

The 3080 is still a capable card, and 10GB of VRAM can be adequate for 1440p gaming, but $460 is roughly $100 too much in many markets. You might also compare it with a newer 16GB card such as the RX 9060 XT if modern VRAM capacity matters to you.
An RTX 4070 around $450–$500 would be a better buy if you can find one. It offers similar or better performance in many games, newer features, stronger upscaling support, and much lower power consumption than the 3080.
$460 is too high for a used 3080 10GB, at least in the US. These usually make more sense around $280–$350, depending on condition and local demand. I’d keep looking rather than rushing into this deal.
At that price, try to find an RTX 3080 Ti instead. Used 3080 Ti cards have been selling near $400 in some markets, so paying $460 for the regular 10GB model doesn’t offer much value. Make sure to mention your country, since used GPU prices vary a lot by region.
