I'm considering buying a used RTX 3080 10GB for around $460. Is that a reasonable price, or are there better used or new graphics cards available in the same price range?

The RTX 3080 is still a capable second-hand gaming card, and 10GB can be enough for many current games. However, $460 is about $100 too much in a typical US market, so I’d wait for a cheaper listing or negotiate the price.
You could also check newer cards such as the RX 9060 XT 16GB if available at that price. The extra VRAM may provide better longevity, depending on the games and resolution you use.
$460 sounds high for a used 10GB RTX 3080. In many markets, they’ve been selling closer to $280–$350, so I’d keep looking unless prices are unusually high where you live.
At roughly $450, you should be able to find an RTX 3080 Ti, which is a better deal than the regular 3080. Local prices vary a lot, though, so the country and currency matter before comparing listings.
An RTX 4070 around $500 may be worth considering instead. It offers similar or better performance, newer features, improved DLSS support, and much lower power consumption than the 3080.
