Is ADATA laptop RAM a good buy?

I'm in a bit of a tight spot needing a better laptop for school, but I'm on a budget. I've done some research and found that a cheap ADATA 2400 MHz 8GB RAM module caught my eye. It's so inexpensive it's raising some red flags for me. I've seen mixed reviews about ADATA, with some calling it trash. Should I go for this RAM or look for something else?

Honestly, ADATA is a solid brand. I have around 7 TB of their SSDs and RAM that have been working well since 2020. The 8GB DDR4 sticks are affordable because they're an older standard; most newer systems are pushing DDR5 now.

If you’re unsure about the price, just check different retailers to see how it compares. Sometimes deals can vary widely!

I've used ADATA products for years, including RAM and SSDs, and I've never had issues. Sure, it might not be the quickest, but they're reliable—no failures or errors on my end.

I have a couple of Qnap NAS devices that use ADATA RAM, and they’ve been performing great. While ADATA may not be considered the premium option, I haven't faced any problems with either my NAS or other builds using their products.

Do you already have some RAM? How much? If you only have 4GB, upgrading with 8GB should give you a decent boost.
