Is Aliexpress a Reliable Option for Buying RAM?

I'm in the process of building my first DIY PC and I have almost everything except for the RAM. I'm really interested in the G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB Series 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR5 6000 RAM. I found it for $199 on Newegg, but Aliexpress has it listed for $163 with a 'new user deal' and claims it ships from the US. The seller has a pretty good rating of 4.8 out of 5. Has anyone here bought from Aliexpress before? Is it a legit option? Thanks!

Honestly, I would be cautious. A US shipping label can sometimes be a red flag. I've had experiences with tracking issues and delays in the past. If you go through Aliexpress, look for verified sellers and check their ratings. Most of my parts have been good, but always do your research. I've found some deals on Amazon that felt dodgy too!

I've been shopping on Aliexpress for over 5 years and everything I received has been as described. I've ordered everything from cheap gadgets to PC components, and I've had no issues. Just ensure that the shop is reputable—check for a high number of sales and positive reviews from a variety of customers with pictures!

Yeah, China is a long way, but if it says it's shipping from the US, that could ease some worries about shipping and import taxes. It’s interesting that it's cheaper than US stores, but I'd double-check those details just to be safe!

I can't see the item since it's not available in my location, but it sounds like the seller has a solid reputation. I've ordered several items from Aliexpress in the past and they were all legit. Just make sure to check for any possible taxes and tariffs that might apply to your order!
