I'm looking for an inexpensive temporary upgrade that should last for the next few years. I'm considering an i5-14400F paired with a Gigabyte B760 GAMING X D4 GEN5 motherboard for about $270 total, allowing me to reuse my existing DDR4 RAM.
Would this combination work well, and would it be a worthwhile upgrade? Are there any compatibility or alternative-platform concerns I should consider?
