Is an i5 8400 with an RTX 3060 a good budget gaming setup?

I'm in Australia and looking to build a budget gaming PC that can handle titles like GTA Online, Fortnite, Rainbow Six, CSGO, and maybe some Warzone and Arc Raiders. I found a second-hand PC with an i5 8400 and 16GB of RAM for $250 AUD, and I'm hoping to negotiate it down to $200. It doesn't come with a GPU, so I'm considering adding an RTX 3060, which would bring my total close to $300-$350. I'd appreciate any advice or thoughts on this setup!

You’ll be good with that setup, but consider adding two more sticks of RAM if your motherboard supports it. That way, you can boost it to 32GB, which could help with multitasking. Just a heads-up, the 3060 won't support 4K gaming well; you'll likely be limited to 1080p.

That setup sounds promising! $200 AUD is about $150 USD, so it's not a bad deal if you can snag a used 3060 for a decent price. Just make sure the system has a custom build with at least a 450+ watt power supply; steer clear of any Dell, HP, or Acer OEM systems. Good luck!
