Hey everyone! I'm a gamer trying to piece together my first PC. I've found some affordable parts, including an i7-6700, a GTX 1050 Ti (4GB), 24GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 1TB SSD. With the way prices have been climbing, I'm wondering if this setup would still be decent in 2026 for playing various games like Rocket League, Fortnite, and Geometry Dash. Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

This all hinges on what you plan to play and at what quality. If you're ok with lower settings and resolutions, you might have a decent gaming experience, especially for less demanding games.
Honestly, in 2026, this setup isn't going to be considered good. It might run the games you're interested in, but I wouldn’t expect stellar performance. If the price is low, like around $50, it might be a decent deal, but anything higher wouldn't be worth it.
It really depends on the price you can get it at. If it's around $50, then you're in a good spot, but if it's closer to $200, I would steer clear. Also, make sure your motherboard supports DDR3 with that CPU; some do, but not all.

Definitely consider the settings! With lower-spec games, you could hit decent frame rates.
