I'm looking to build a gaming PC that can handle games at a resolution of 3440x1440. Here's what I've picked out so far:
- Samsung 990 PRO 2TB PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 2280
- Kingston FURY Beast 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL30 Dual Channel Kit
- Corsair RMx Series 2024 RM1000x, 80+ Gold, 1000W PSU
- AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7GHz processor
- MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI motherboard
- Palit GeForce RTX 5080 GamingPro 16GB GDDR7
- ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 A-RGB cooler
- Corsair FRAME 5000D RS ARGB High-Airflow case
Now I'm wondering if the RTX 5070 Ti would be sufficient for my needs, or if it's better to stick with the 5080. I'd also appreciate any other suggestions you might have. Thanks!

If money isn't a huge concern, then definitely go for the RTX 5080 – it's a beast and won't disappoint in demanding games. That said, the 5070 Ti still delivers solid FPS for most titles, so it really depends on how much you're willing to invest.
You might not need the 6000MHz RAM with the X3D processor; something a bit cheaper like 5600 or 6000 CL36 would work just as well. The performance difference between the 5070 Ti and 5080 is only about 15%, so consider your budget! If you're okay spending more, the 5080 is great for future-proofing.
Honestly, the RTX 5070 Ti can handle most games at 3440x1440 just fine, especially if you aren't super picky about max settings. If you can save some cash going with the 5070 Ti, you might want to go that route! You’ll still get good performance without breaking the bank!
