I'm planning a high-end gaming PC mainly for demanding AAA titles. My priorities are maximum performance, consistently high FPS, smooth gameplay, and low input latency. I'm considering an RTX 5080 paired with a Ryzen 7 9850X3D, along with 32GB or 64GB of RAM, a fast NVMe SSD, strong cooling, and an appropriately sized power supply. Would this be a well-balanced combination, and are there any components you would change or recommend for a build centered around the RTX 5080? I'd especially like feedback from people who have used or tested similar hardware.

Those are already among the fastest mainstream parts available, aside from stepping up to an RTX 5090. The combination should be excellent for high-refresh-rate gaming, but it’s worth setting a total budget first because current pricing can make a build like this extremely expensive for the performance gained.
The RTX 5080 can be a strong choice, but check the full system cost rather than spending everything on the GPU. A high-end 5070 Ti may offer most of the performance for substantially less money, leaving room for better memory, storage, or peripherals. Also remember to budget for a suitable high-refresh-rate monitor—1440p at 120Hz or higher is a reasonable minimum—along with a keyboard, mouse, and mousepad.
That’s a good reminder. The monitor and peripherals can easily add several hundred euros, so I’ll include them in the budget before deciding whether the 5080 is worthwhile.
