I've noticed that some users are experiencing a strange problem where their laptops automatically switch to Abu Dhabi time, even though they aren't close to that location. All laptops are set to 'Set time zone automatically', but I have disabled that feature and manually changed it to Eastern Time, which works temporarily. However, users keep reporting that their time zone resets back to Abu Dhabi after a few hours. This seems like it might be a bug related to the recent Windows update (KB5073455). Additionally, there are users whose laptops reboot unexpectedly during shutdown and can only turn them off with a hard power down. Has anyone else faced similar issues?

I disabled the 'Set time zone automatically' feature a while back because it never seemed to work properly. If your users aren't traveling much, it might be best to disable it through Group Policy or Intune for now.
I haven't run into that problem myself, but I've read that recent Windows updates have been causing all sorts of headaches. It seems like Microsoft's AI coding might not be hitting the mark lately.
I haven't had that issue, probably because I set a custom Group Policy for NTP ages ago. It syncs with time.windows.com and then pool.ntp.org for accuracy. This way, if a laptop is taken offline and then brought back online in a different time zone, it adjusts quickly. Perhaps sticking to those internet times is the better option now?
You've just relieved a lot of my stress! We're also dealing with DUO, and it really doesn't like it when the time is off. It’s nice to know I'm not the only one in this boat!
