Since updating to iOS 18, some users are experiencing issues with their Office 365 email not loading in the iOS Mail app. While some users have no issues at all, others are stuck with messages saying 'Loading' or having trouble opening and downloading attachments. I've tried disabling Apple Intelligence features, removing and re-adding the account, changing fetch/push settings, resetting network settings, and ensuring the phones are up to date, but the problem persists. The last option would be to do a backup and reset, which hasn't been attempted yet. I'm curious if anyone else has faced similar issues with Exchange and iOS Mail, especially as this problem has also popped up in iOS 26. Notably, it's not tied to specific users, as one affected person works fine on my device. Frustratingly, I haven't seen any acknowledgment from Apple or Microsoft despite some scattered forum posts. Any insights or fixes would be appreciated before considering switching to the Outlook app.

I had to ditch the Mail app when we switched to Exchange Online. I can't remember all the details, but it was a nightmare with constant issues. The Outlook app is so much better.
Yeah, I've seen it too! The Mail app has been glitchy since I updated; it shows new messages that take forever to download. When I check the Gmail app, everything's there without issues. Such a nuisance!
Switching to the Outlook app is definitely the way to go. I've been using it after dealing with the annoyances of the Mail app, and I've only heard positive feedback since suggesting it to my team. It's a lot smoother with Exchange Online.
I’ve noticed some conflicts with Exchange and the native Mail app. It's kind of a mess right now. I ended up just telling people to use the Outlook app since it's been more reliable. The Mail app just isn't worth the hassle anymore.
