Is anyone else having trouble reaching AWS right now? I'm seeing reports of connectivity problems and outages, and I'm trying to determine whether this is limited to a particular region or affecting services globally. Has anyone noticed recovery yet, or found an official explanation?

AWS reportedly identified a misbehaving router and applied mitigations. Even after the initial fix, routing incidents can take a few hours to fully settle, so intermittent slowness or failures may continue.
Yes—us-west-2 was completely unreachable for several minutes, but it appears to be coming back online now. Connectivity may still be unstable while things recover.
Some apparent AWS-related problems may also have been caused by Cloudflare maintenance and traffic being redirected to another data center. It’s worth checking both providers’ status pages before assuming every affected service has the same root cause.
The outage didn’t seem consistent everywhere. Some locations in the eastern US and Europe could still access AWS, while users in the UK and UAE had trouble reaching services hosted in Oregon. That points to a possible routing issue rather than every AWS region being down.
Multiple AWS services started showing problems around the same time, and monitoring systems began generating a lot of alerts. The official AWS Health status page confirmed that there was an impact.
