Is AWS Planning to Support Peppol for Billing?

As a small AWS customer, I currently receive my invoices via email. I'm interested in switching to Peppol for billing, but it seems AWS only supports Peppol integration through SAP or Coupa. I'm already using a different platform tailored for small businesses. Does anyone know if AWS plans to extend Peppol support more broadly? I thought Peppol should allow any platform since it requires both sender and recipient to be registered.

Currently, AWS doesn't directly support Peppol. They're relying on third-party partners for that integration. I recently found out that AWS in Belgium sends bills through Peppol, which is cool, but they don’t offer a direct setup for users. So, make sure your platform can handle Peppol integration for both sending and receiving invoices. If it can't, you might want to look for a different platform that can!

I'm also from Belgium and on Peppol, but I'm struggling to figure out how to access AWS Billing for it. It should be straightforward since it works for my other services!

AWS could absolutely implement the Peppol specification if they chose to. Honestly, it doesn't seem that complicated, but they might not feel the urgency to do it yet. It could help to advocate for it more so they realize there's demand!

Yeah, and with some countries making it mandatory, AWS might need to step up their game on this front.

Getting invoices from AWS can be a bit tricky. At the moment, it looks like you're limited to using SAP or Coupa if you want Peppol, unfortunately. Hopefully, they'll expand options in the future!
