Is C a Good Language for Learning Data Structures and Algorithms?

I'm currently in my third semester of a BTech in Computer Science and am studying data structures and algorithms in C. Is it perfectly fine to continue with C, or would learning DSA in another language be more useful, especially for technical interviews?

Yes, C is a completely valid choice for DSA. Itโ€™s language-agnostic, and C can actually help you understand memory, pointers, data layout, and how things work under the hood. Once youโ€™re comfortable with the concepts, switching to Python, Java, Rust, or another language is mostly a matter of learning the syntax and built-in libraries.

C is fine, and another language can also work. The most important thing is understanding the algorithms, complexity analysis, and implementation rather than the language itself. For interviews, use a language you can write confidently and quickly, and make sure youโ€™re familiar with its standard library and common data-structure APIs.
