I'm considering switching to the Cinnamon desktop environment while still using CachyOS on my laptop, but I want to make sure it runs smoothly on my system. Here's what I'm working with: a CPU that's an Intel Celeron N4000 with 2 cores running at 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics 600 for the GPU, and 16GB of RAM (I think the RAM speed is 2666MHz). I also have an HDD with 466GB of storage. Are there lighter desktop environments or maybe even different distros that would work better for my setup? I'm relatively new to Linux, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you're looking for options, you might want to try LXQT or XFCE—they're known for being light on resources. Budgie is also a decent choice. If you're set on using a distro with these DEs, Ubuntu flavors like Lubuntu or Xubuntu would be solid picks.
