Is Claude Code Better than API?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to figure out whether using Claude Code is a better option compared to the API and Roocode. I recently switched from Cursor to Roocode because I found Cursor to be pretty terrible. The API costs can really add up if I'm not careful with my prompts, and I'm wondering if the $100 plan will have me constantly hitting limits. I don't plan on using it for work, but I do want to use it in the evenings for about 5-8 hours daily. Any thoughts? Thanks!
