Hey everyone! I'm currently studying web and mobile development, but it's starting to feel really crowded out there. Plus, with AI taking over a lot of tasks, I'm getting anxious about job prospects. I'm wondering if I should switch my focus to cloud computing or DevOps instead. Here are a few specific points I'm curious about:

- Is it true that web and mobile development is difficult to break into these days?
- Are fields like cloud and DevOps more stable and less vulnerable to AI disruption?
- Should I consider making the switch?

I'd really appreciate any insights from those in the tech industry. Thanks!

A solid background in backend development really helps if you want to get into DevOps. I’ve heard that it’s hard to break into DevOps without some dev experience first, so keep that in mind if you’re looking to pivot.

That makes a lot of sense! I guess building some backend skills would help a lot if I want to transition to DevOps.

Honestly, it's tough all around. Focus on what you like doing the most. Cloud and DevOps often require some prior experience and aren’t typically entry-level roles. Plus, just about everything in tech is affected by AI these days, so nothing is entirely safe.
