Is Cloudflare a Better Choice than Namecheap for Domain Registration?

I've had a .com domain for about 20 years and usually stick with one registrar until their renewal prices become too high. Right now, Namecheap is charging $18.48 for one year, while Cloudflare is asking for $10.46. I primarily need a registrar with WHOIS privacy and don't require web hosting or any additional services. What are your thoughts on switching from Namecheap to Cloudflare?

I really like Cloudflare too! I've been with them ever since Google Domains got sold off. They’re reliable and straightforward for domain management!

Honestly, I'd recommend trying Porkbun instead of either Namecheap or Cloudflare. I've been using them since Google Domains was axed and they have fantastic service!

Same here! Porkbun has been my go-to ever since. They just offer a better experience.

I've been using Cloudflare for my domain registration, and it's been great! They offer at-cost pricing, so the $10.46 for a .com is basically what they pay ICANN without any markup. Since I'm also using Cloudflare for DNS and CDN, managing everything in one spot is super convenient. Plus, their DNS updates are fast, and the interface is simple without annoying upselling. One thing to note, though, is that if you need extra features like email hosting, you’ll have to set those up separately. Overall, I think Cloudflare is a solid choice if you're mainly looking for registrar services and privacy!
