Is Codecademy Worth It for Learning Python?

I'm currently a student focusing on web development and design, and I'm considering switching to a programming degree that includes languages like Java, Python, and C. With six months to learn the basics, I discovered Codecademy. My question is: is it worth the monthly fee of 7 euros to learn Python through their platform, or are there better, more cost-effective resources out there?

If you're looking for something completely free, I suggest taking a look at the University of Helsinki's MOOC courses, like Python Programming 2025. They offer high-quality courses without any charge, and they’re more hands-on compared to Codecademy. Many top universities provide free programming courses too, so you have plenty of options without needing to pay!

Codecademy is a decent platform to start with, especially for beginners, but I wouldn't recommend paying 7 euros each month without trying out some free resources first.
