Is Coil Whine Normal for My 9060XT? Should I Return It?

I'm a first-time PC builder and noticed that my PowerColor 9060XT graphics card emits some coil whine while playing Valorant. It's not extremely loud, but it's definitely noticeable, especially on high settings. I've read that coil whine can be normal and even unavoidable, which makes me hesitant about swapping it out. Should I risk returning it for a new unit, or just keep this one? Also, if the coil whine gets worse within the next two years, will PowerColor cover it under their RMA policy? I only have a week left to return it to MicroCenter, so do you think I should consider "breaking it in" first?

Have you considered undervolting? It sometimes reduces coil whine significantly without the need to return your card. Just be cautious, as altering the voltage could impact your warranty.

Honestly, just return it. Getting another card might feel like a gamble, but you're still within the return window. Better to tackle the issue now than later!

Coil whine usually isn't covered by warranty, so if it's bothersome now, you might as well return it for a different unit. You'll get another chance without losing any money, assuming prices are stable. It could be a hassle to deal with later if it gets worse!

Yeah, the gas money might be a bit of an annoyance, but it sounds worth it to me!
