Hey everyone! I recently purchased a Sapphire NITRO+ RX 9070 XT 16GB and I noticed it's giving off a pretty loud coil whine while I'm gaming and running benchmarks like 3DMark Time Spy. The noise is still pretty noticeable, even with my Lian Li Lancool 207 case closed up. I even recorded a short video that captures the sound. Is this level of coil whine typical for the 9070 XT Nitro+ series, or do you think I should look into getting a replacement? I really love the performance of the card, but the noise can be really distracting. By the way, this is my first GPU and I would love any advice or insights from others who might have had similar experiences! Here are my specs: Ryzen 7 7800X3D, MSI X670E Gaming Plus WiFi, Corsair RM850x 2024 (ATX 3.1), Lian Li Lancool 207, Arctic Liquid Freezer III 240.

Coil whine can be pretty common with high-performance GPUs, including the RX 9070 XT series. It usually occurs when the power delivery or components are under a lot of stress. As for your situation, if the noise is bothersome and it’s clearly audible even through the case, you might want to consider reaching out for a warranty replacement, especially since you mentioned it's really distracting. Just be sure to check if the sound changes with different loads or at lower settings before you decide!
I get what you're saying about coil whine; mine does that too! It can be quite annoying depending on your setup. You could try using a different power outlet or checking if your PSU is properly connected. Sometimes, something as simple as that can help reduce the noise! But if not, an RMA might just be worth it if it’s too loud for you to enjoy your gaming experience.
Good point about the outlet! I had similar noise issues before and switching to a different outlet made a world of difference. It's worth a shot!

Yeah, definitely to that; I had a similar issue with another GPU and the sound didn’t change much under different conditions. If it's really bothering you, a replacement might be the best route.
