Hey everyone! I recently picked up a Crucial 16GB Kit (2x8GB) of DDR5 RAM running at 4800MHz CL40 for about €85.75, and it's set to arrive between January 5 and February 19, 2026.
I'm thinking about building a gaming PC with a Ryzen 7500F CPU (around €100), a standard motherboard (€60-100), and either a second-hand RX 6600 (€120) or a new RX 9060 XT 16GB (€350).
Do you think this RAM will work well with my setup, or should I consider returning it? I'm also contemplating an alternative plan to buy a used PC with a Ryzen 5500, 16GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, and an RX 6600 for around €300-400. I feel like Plan A might be better since I want to eventually upgrade to 32GB of 6000MHz CL36 RAM and a better CPU down the line. My goal is to play games like Monster Hunter Wilds, Battlefield 6, and FF7 Rebirth, but my current setup (i7 2600k + GTX 970) can't handle them at all. I also want to do some light video editing and use local AI. What do you guys think? Thanks for any input!

It’s definitely on the lower end, but it should still function adequately for what you need. Just make sure you manage your expectations, especially with demanding titles like BF6. If you're on a budget, this could still be a solid choice for the time being.
Honestly, the RAM isn't the best out there—it's one of the lower-rated DDR5 kits. But don't stress too much; it should still work okay, especially if you're using something like the RX 6600. Just keep in mind that the games you mentioned can be pretty demanding, so you might not get the best performance. Monster Hunter Wilds, in particular, can be rough on lower-end setups.
