Is €185 a Good Price for the Corsair HX1000i PSU?

Hey everyone! I recently bought a Sapphire Nitro+ 9070XT and upgraded to a Lian Li Lancool III case since my old one was way too small. Now, I just need a PSU and I'm looking for a 1000W unit to ensure I have enough power for future upgrades. I've found the Corsair HX1000i for €185, and I'm wondering if that's a good deal. I initially wanted the RM1000x, but it's more expensive right now. The HX1000i has a platinum rating, which seems like a plus. Should I go for it, or is it better to wait for a better deal? I'm kind of in a rush to get my new GPU up and running, but I don't want to overspend if I don't have to.

If you truly want 1000W, evaluate other brands like EVGA or SeaSonic to see how their prices compare. If the prices are close to this deal, then it seems reasonable. Just keep in mind that sometimes you can catch better deals, especially around the Black Friday sales.

Yeah, but I've found that EVGA and SeaSonic are pricier. I think the deal you found could be solid, but I’m not sure if I’ll find something better in the next few weeks. The best deals usually pop up in September or October before Black Friday.

Before you make a decision, think about whether you really need 1000W right now. Depending on what you already have, a good quality 850W PSU could work just fine. I have a 9070XT too and my 750W is handling it without any issues. Plus, keep in mind that PSU standards are changing—there are some known issues with the latest 12V connectors, so it's worth considering that as well.

I hear you. I’ve got a 600W Gold Kolink PSU that’s making odd noises and could be on its last legs—definitely want to upgrade soon.
