I'm a product designer diving into coding to create products for myself and out of personal interest. I understand the importance of starting with the basics, and I really love FreeCodeCamp. However, I'm wondering if it's still worth it to go through their program now that AI is a big topic. Are there more efficient ways to learn coding?

FreeCodeCamp is still a solid choice, especially if you're coming from a design background. The structured path is really useful for beginners. AI tools can help with debugging and explaining concepts, but they can't replace the knowledge you gain from actually writing code. Plus, completing FCC projects gives you a nice portfolio boost. I'd recommend doing FCC for the fundamentals and then using AI as a coding companion once you're comfortable.
In today's AI era, being able to develop your own apps is crucial. Relying too much on AI can lead to issues with technical debt. You need to be hands-on, as you're the one guiding the project and responsible for its success. Use AI wisely, but remember, it's your responsibility to ensure everything works well.
Definitely stick with FreeCodeCamp for now! When you're just starting out, using AI can be tricky because you might not yet be able to tell what's right or wrong. FCC provides a great foundation for your learning journey.

Got it!!
