Hey everyone! I'm in the process of upgrading my PC and I'm planning to get a 9950X3D. I've heard that this CPU doesn't really handle memory speeds over 6400MHz too well. To maximize my performance, I'm looking for RAM that offers the best timings possible. I stumbled upon a mention that G.Skill is working on DDR5-6400 memory with a latency of CL28, which sounds great. However, when I did some digging, the lowest latency I could find was CL30. I'm wondering if this CL28 RAM is just a typo on their website or if it hasn't been released yet. Thanks for your help!

The X3D processors don’t benefit significantly from ultra-fast memory or tight timings because of the large L3 cache. You might not even notice a performance difference between what you're aiming for and the more common DDR5-6000 CL30 in benchmarks or real-world scenarios.
It seems like that CL28 RAM isn’t out yet. But to be honest, for an X3D chip, you probably won’t see any advantages over 6000-CL30. If you're keen on getting something close to your wish, you might want to check out the 6000-CL26 kits that are already available.
