Is it a good idea to buy a tray CPU from AliExpress?

I'm gearing up for my first major PC build upgrade since 2016, and I'm transitioning from an Intel 6600k to AMD this time around. While I'd love to go for AM5, the soaring prices of DDR5 RAM make that less appealing, especially since I already have 64GB of DDR4. So, I'm planning to stick with AM4. I've read a lot of great things about the 5700X3D, but it looks like it's been discontinued everywhere! I had a thought to check AliExpress, and they do have some in stock, but only as tray CPUs, not boxed. I'm curious if buying from there is advised or if it's risky? Also, if I can't get the 5700X3D, what's the next best option for gaming?

If you’re thinking of alternatives to the 5700X3D, both the 5700X and 5800X are solid choices for gaming. The 5700X has a lower power draw and should be cheaper, but you'll get slightly less performance compared to the 5800X. If you're okay with a 6-core option, any 5600 that doesn't have a -G at the end will also do the job well.

I personally prefer the 5700X. You can tweak it and get similar performance to the 5800X with some adjustments!
