Is It Normal for a New PC to Take a Minute to Reach Full FPS in Overwatch?

I recently built or bought a new PC, and Overwatch takes about one or two minutes after launching before it reaches the maximum FPS the system is capable of producing. Is this kind of delay normal, or could something be wrong with the PC or game settings?

When you say “full potential,” do you mean the game starts with lower FPS and then gradually reaches its usual maximum? That could be caused by shader compilation, background loading, thermal or power-management behavior, or other startup processes. Check whether your GPU drivers are current and watch your CPU/GPU temperatures and usage during those first couple of minutes.

Yes, I mean the FPS starts lower and then climbs to the maximum the PC can normally achieve.
