I've noticed that my i5 14600KF gets pretty hot when I'm gaming, with temps rising quickly to just under 90°C. I'm currently playing Stalker 2 and recently upgraded from an i3 13100F, which didn't have these heating issues. My motherboard is an ROG Strix B760F. Should I be concerned?

The i5 14600KF does run hot, especially under load. When I tested it with a single tower air cooler while playing Cyberpunk 2077, it got close to 90°C too. Even my twin tower cooler only kept it around 80°C. It's normal but concerning, so keep an eye on it!
You might want to try turning off hyperthreading. It could help reduce some heat if you're not using it heavily for tasks that require it.
The 14000 series CPUs are powerful but run hot! The transistor size hasn’t significantly shrunk compared to the 12000 series, which adds to the heat issue. Make sure your cooling solution is optimal for your setup!
90°C is on the higher side for a CPU, but it can be acceptable under heavy gaming loads. Have you checked the thermal paste application? Sometimes it can be a bit messy and affect cooling performance.
I actually just put on a lot of thermal paste and switched to an AIO cooler today, but I'm still seeing those temps.

Yeah, I'm really worried about it because the temp control light keeps coming on.
