Is It Normal for Windows to Use 100GB of My Storage?

I'm running low on storage space and noticed that my Windows folder on Local Disk is taking up 100GB. Is that typical? I checked with WizTree and found that ServiceProfile is using the bulk of that space (68.2GB), with files named like codes that are each 6GB. Can anyone explain what these are and how I might reduce their size?

If you're on Windows 11, try using Storage Sense. Just type 'Storage Sense' in the start menu, open the settings, check the box to let it clean up temporary files automatically, and then hit 'Run Storage Sense now'. That could help free up some space.

That doesn't sound normal. You might want to see what specific folders are actually consuming the most space and target those for cleanup.

It sounds like some software might be leaving logs in that location. Check if those files show up in the Disk Cleanup tool (make sure to enable system files too). If they don’t, you'll need to figure out which software is responsible for filling up that folder.
