Is It Okay If My AIO Pump Is Mounted Backward?

Hey everyone! I just completed my new PC build, but I noticed something odd: my AIO pump has the tubes on the left side, while most tutorials show them on the right. Is this a problem, or can I just leave it as is? Also, if I do need to reposition the pump, can I reuse the thermal paste since my PC is only 24 hours old? I've included some images from both the Corsair installation guide and my build for reference.

No problem at all! I had mine mounted upside down to avoid hitting a rear fan. The only downside is the logo being upside down, but it works just fine.

Good to know! Thanks!

It’s perfectly fine! The orientation doesn’t really affect performance unless you see high temps. Just make sure the system is running well after you add your GPU.

I’m just waiting for my GPU to arrive, so I’ll see how it does then.

There's nothing wrong with how you mounted it; it'll work just fine! But if you're concerned about appearances, you might want to check your CPU temperatures just to be safe.

Thanks! I’ll keep an eye on the temps since I can’t see the setup well anyway.

It's all good! Just make sure to check your fluid temps and fan speeds using the iCUE software to monitor everything after your GPU is in.

Will do! Been a while since my last build, so I appreciate the tips.

As others said, it's okay, but it might look nicer with everything aligned. If you decide to reinstall, you could probably keep the thermal paste since your build is so new, but fresh paste is always better.

I'll watch for temps and go from there. It's hard to see into the case, so I'm not too worried about the look!

You can definitely leave it as is. AIO pumps can be installed in various orientations without issues.

Thanks for confirming!
