I'm currently using an i5 12400F processor with an MSI Pro B760M-P motherboard and have 16GB of DDR4 RAM (2x8GB at 2666MHz). I'm planning to upgrade to 32GB by adding 2 more identical RAM modules, since my motherboard supports up to 4 slots. However, I've heard conflicting opinions suggesting that it might lead to instability or performance issues. Can anyone share their thoughts or experiences on this?

Using 4 sticks of DDR4 is typically pretty stable, especially at slower speeds like 2666MHz. The issues with instability usually arise with DDR5 due to higher speeds. So, for your setup, you should be fine with 4 slots filled!
Thanks for the reassurance!
I had 64GB running across 4 sticks at 3600MHz with the same CPU, and it worked perfectly. Upgraded to a newer CPU and didn't face any issues, so you should be good to go!
Awesome to hear! I guess I can take the leap then. Thanks for sharing!

Exactly! DDR4 is generally reliable even when using all slots. Just make sure all your modules are identical if you want to minimize any potential issues.
