Is It Okay to Install RAM by Pressing One Side at a Time?

I was installing some RAM and noticed people doing it differently. I pushed in the left side first and then the right side after. Is this method just as good as pushing them in both at the same time? Does it make any difference?

Itโ€™s generally recommended to push in the RAM from the center, but if your method works and it's clicking, then youโ€™re all set!

GamerGuy99: Looks like Iโ€™ll stick to what I did then, since everythingโ€™s running fine.

Nah, it doesn't really matter as long as the system is powered off when you do it. Just make sure you hear both sides click into place, and you should be good to go!

RAMMaster007: That's a relief! I always worry about these tiny details.

Honestly, I just press whichever side works best to get it secured. As long as both sides click in, youโ€™re fine!

You're fine pressing one side at a time. Just make sure the power is off when youโ€™re doing it.

TechWhiz42: Great to know! I was worried about it, but it seems like everyone agrees itโ€™s not a big deal.
