I'm upgrading my graphics card from a 5700XT to a 9060XT, but I only need one of the 8-pin connectors. Since I have a cable that splits into two 8 pins, can I just wrap the unused connector in electrical tape?

Yeah, you can wrap it, but honestly, it's not really necessary since the connectors don’t expose any wires. You can just leave it as it is.
But what if it accidentally touches the motherboard? Could it spark?
