Is it safe to lean my TV against the wall without a stand?

I've recently got a TV from a family member and I like it better than my old one. The issue is that it doesn't have a stand or a mount, so I'm currently just leaning it against the wall next to a desk that's bigger than the TV. I'm curious if this setup could lead to any overheating issues and if it's safe enough, or if there's a risk of it tipping over.

Honestly, people often say they're not worried about their TVs falling, but then it happens! I’d really recommend getting a mount or at least a stand. It’s a small price for peace of mind.

Definitely agree! It's better to be safe and secure it properly.

You shouldn't worry too much about overheating in this setup. But there's definitely a risk if someone bumps into it or if there are kids around; it could tip over since the weight isn't really balanced right. A proper mount or stand would be a safer choice!

If you just need something quick, check out some wall mounts on Amazon; they’re usually pretty affordable. I just got one for my older TV and it's been great!

I bought some inexpensive legs for my old TV that didn’t have a stand, and they worked perfectly! Only cost me around 15 bucks on Amazon, and now I can use it without worrying about it falling over.

You can easily find replacement legs at Walmart for about ten bucks. It's not a huge expense, and it will be nice to have a proper base for your TV instead of just leaning it.
