Hey everyone! I'm currently using an eSIM and I don't have a physical SIM card, so I'm wondering if I can just take out the SIM card tray entirely. Will my phone still work without that component? I'm mainly just curious, not looking to remove an old physical SIM card, but the tray itself.

Seriously, how much weight do you think that tray actually saves? It wouldn’t make that much of a difference, right?
You can definitely take it out, but just be aware that you'll have an open spot that can let in dirt and moisture, which could lead to problems later on.
Don’t worry about the naysayers! If it makes you feel better and lighter, go for it! Nobody needs that extra weight.
You can do it, but I just don't get why you'd want to leave that space open. Seems pointless to me.
It might seem fine, but it's really not a great move since it can let water and dust in. But technically, it should still work without the tray.
Honestly, I'm curious what made you think this would be a good idea. You'd end up with a gap that could attract lint and water—definitely not ideal!

To reduce weight.
