I accidentally cut a cable for the fans in my PC case while building it. I mistook it for a wire holding multiple cables together. Can I still use my PC without the fans, or should I get replacements first? Would it at least run Minecraft with mods?

Make sure that the damaged wire isn’t connected to your motherboard—there’s a risk of damage if it is. Ideally, you want at least one intake and one exhaust fan for decent airflow. If you can repair the wire, do so with electrical tape or soldering for a more complete fix!
It really depends on how many fans you have left functional. If none are working, you're going to struggle because airflow is crucial for maintaining temp. Check your setup.__
These are low voltage wires, so a bit of insulating tape can help you repair it. Just strip the ends and twist them together, make sure they’re insulated well, and you'll be good to go for now!
Why not just try repairing the cable? It's not overly complicated, and you can save a fan instead of having to buy new ones. A little bit of electrical tape can go a long way!
If the PC only has a few case fans, you can run it without them for a bit. Just keep an eye on your temperatures while you’re gaming. It might get a bit toasty, but one or two fans shouldn't be a critical issue.
Before powering up, make sure to remove the cut wire to avoid any shorts. You definitely don't want a live wire grounding out against your case—it could cause serious damage.
Absolutely! Following both ends of the cut wire and disconnecting it is essential. Having a live wire hanging around is just asking for trouble.

Exactly! Fixing it seems like a good option. No need to waste a perfectly good fan!
